Meetings

We have even better plans for our next meeting, coming up quickly on November 10th. Rather than asking charities to produce a video ahead of time, we will invite them to present *live* online. We’re hoping that we can align the next meeting more closely to our in-person style of presentations, vote, socialize. Stayed tuned for updated plans!

Plans for Next Quarter

Our online voting process went seamlessly, and we announced that Elmira District Community Living was the recipient of this vote. Congratulations! If you have not yet submitted your donation, click this link to go directly to the CanadHelps page. Alternatively, information about submitting cheques was provided in the meeting follow-up email.

PRESENTING CHARITIES

Thank you to all members who participated in our first virtual meeting last week. Our goal was to create a virtual experience that offered a similar style to what we normally accomplish in person at our meetings. We knew technology could either help or hinder us, and we are pleased to report that our meeting went off *almost* seamlessly. We consider the meeting a success and we hope you do too!

Special thanks to both of our presenting charities, Floradale Public School and Elmira District Community Living. Both organizations created terrific videos and we sincerely appreciate the effort and planning it took to allow us to present your pitches to our membership.

If you’d like to review the two pitches, you’ll find the videos at the bottom of this post.

During our 15 minute voting period, two past recipients — Community Justice Initiatives and Woolwich Residents Support Fund — provided an update on how their organizations have used the funds donated by 100 Woolwich Women. Thank you so much for stepping in and offering some insight about how our past donations are put to work in the community.
