Thank you to all members who participated in our first virtual meeting last week. Our goal was to create a virtual experience that offered a similar style to what we normally accomplish in person at our meetings. We knew technology could either help or hinder us, and we are pleased to report that our meeting went off *almost* seamlessly. We consider the meeting a success and we hope you do too!
Special thanks to both of our presenting charities, Floradale Public School and Elmira District Community Living. Both organizations created terrific videos and we sincerely appreciate the effort and planning it took to allow us to present your pitches to our membership.
If you’d like to review the two pitches, you’ll find the videos at the bottom of this post.
During our 15 minute voting period, two past recipients — Community Justice Initiatives and Woolwich Residents Support Fund — provided an update on how their organizations have used the funds donated by 100 Woolwich Women. Thank you so much for stepping in and offering some insight about how our past donations are put to work in the community.
